If adverse conditions cause cancellation or delay of school or school activities, announcements will be made no later than 7:00 a.m. over broadcasting stations, District Facebook, and twitter. You also may opt in to receive a text message from our school.

Broadcasting Stations:

The Postville District informs KCRG Channel 9 in Cedar Rapids and also KWWL Channel 7 in Waterloo of cancellations and delays. Other media may see those announcements from KCRG and KWWL and also broadcast the announcements.

Follow the instructions below in order to have messages sent to your phone for cancellation and delay alerts.

Postville uses the JMC Grading program to send text messages directly to parents to wish to be directly notified of a cancellation or delay. In order to utilize this, parent's phone numbers MUST be up to date in the JMC program. Log in to the JMC program and select "Parent Information", which is labeled as #1 in the picture below. Verify your phone number is correct in the area labeled as #2. Make sure the phone is labeled as a cell phone, such as "Cell 1". Select at least the first two options in the area labeled as #3.
