Did you know the “A” in Chick-fil-A® stands for high quality? Here’s why.

Freshly Delivered Ingredients

The produce we use in our recipes – from chopped apples, to fresh lettuce and tomatoes – is delivered to our restaurants up to six times a week for the best quality and flavor. Chick-fil-A Team Members then use these ingredients to prepare many of the menu items you love.

Made by Hand

Many of our menu items are hand-prepared daily, right in our restaurant kitchens. For example, the chicken breast we use to make our sandwiches, strips and nuggets is breaded by hand; it never comes to us as a pre-breaded nugget that needs to be reheated.

Menu Options You Can Feel Better About

Ever since our founder, Truett Cathy, invented the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich in 1964, we’ve been on a culinary journey to satisfy our customers’ changing tastes and expectations. From introducing menu items like the Kale Crunch Side to evolving ingredients in old favorites, like removing artificial colors from many of our dressings and sauces, we’ve been working to serve food you can feel better about eating.

Responsible Sourcing

Our customers trust us to serve their families, and we take that trust seriously. We always strive to prioritize ingredient transparency and responsible sourcing partnerships – from theAnimal Wellbeing Standardswe have in place for our chicken, to our partnership withTHRIVE Farmers Coffeethat supports coffee farmers in Central America with its farmer-direct model.

Fighting Food Waste

Nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A® restaurants participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, a program for local Owner-Operators to donate surplus food to charitable organizations in their communities. In addition to donating surplus food, Chick-fil-A restaurants also use a “cook less, more often” approach to reduce or eliminate the amount of food that goes unserved. This includes cooking chicken throughout the day and preparing salads frequently so that restaurants serve Guests freshly prepared food while also reducing food waste.
