Roasting Cabbage In An Air Fryer

Cabbage is one of my favorite green veggies. It is tasty, nutritious and really simple to prepare. This Air Fried Cabbage is very basic and can be dressed up however you prefer. Add you favorite seasoning, melty cheese or bacon. Any way you serve this cabbage will be fantastic.

Air Fryer Oven vs Air Fryer

Cooking with a traditional (usually egg shaped) air fryer is slightly differently than an Air Fryer Oven.

Air Fryer Ovens are the the extra large models that allow much more space for cooking. This is great if you are preparing food for 4+ people. These ovens can also offer additional cooking methods such as broiling, toasting, baking and even dehydrating. With the extra space and functions comes some cons. The food does not get quite as crisp on the outside. The cook time typically takes a few minutes longer as well. Air fryer ovens also cost double or more than regular air fryers.

Air Fryers on the other hand tend to be smaller. I recommend buying a 5 quart or larger air fryer unless you are only preparing food for yourself. Traditional air fryers take less time to cook the food and achieve an amazing crispiness. The cons being the limited space and I find them to be aggravating to clean.

Both are great depending on your needs and priorities.

That was thoroughly delicious! It only occurred to me today that cabbage might be friable. So, yours was the first recipe I found online and it was fast-tracked into my all time favorites. I didn’t have any pepper so I skipped the salt and used Tony Chachere’s Spicy Seasoning plus some onions. I got this air fryer on closeout for 25 bucks last fall and have only tried French fries which have been great. I’m gonna need a bigger air fryer!
